Dual-track: channel + project

Met a dozen parties but none progressed, until we mapped the market structure and locked in high-intent clients and a partnership framework.

Back to all cases

The situation

A Chinese power-battery and energy-storage company saw the opportunity in Saudi’s energy transition, but the local market was varied and complex. They flew in, met a dozen parties, and came home with broad contact but not one deal in real progress.

What we did

We first mapped the ground: the customer tiers, procurement paths and decision chains of the Saudi storage market. We then ran distributor channels and direct projects in parallel, so no single bet carried all the risk. We screened for high-intent clients on three axes, budget, use case and decision power, and designed distribution, agency and project-cooperation frameworks to fit each buyer’s procurement habits.

The outcome

The client received a field-validated read of the market structure and a list of high-intent clients, able to tell clearly who has both budget and authority and who is only looking, and to decide with clarity before committing spend.

What it means for you

For high-value, long-cycle products like storage, the most expensive cost is usually chasing the wrong people. If you also cannot tell a real buyer from a browser, mapping the market structure before you invest is usually the cheaper move.
